Our Chickens

Cumberland View Farm is a Breeder and Member of the AMERICAN SUSSEX ASSOCIATION and Jimmy is Vice President of the organization. The Sussex chicken is a duel purpose breed of chicken and has been around for almost 2,000 years. They were first bred in what is now known as England around 43 AD. It is not uncommon for the Sussex hen to lay over 260 eggs a year. The eggs are large and from cream to light brown in color.
